JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible to: Radiology Dept. Head
Responsible for quality control testing of nuclear medicine equipment: uniformity, resolution, center of rotation, and energy of the gamma camera; accuracy, constancy, and linearity of the dose calibrator; energy calibration and Chi-Square testing. Ordering, receipt, survey, inventory, and proper storage of radiopharmaceuticals. Maintain radiation exposure to self, staff, and patients as low as reasonably achievable (ALARA) in accordance with NYSDOH guidelines.
