  • License: Must be licensed by the State of New York
  • Certifications: ARRT or NMTCB certification or eligible in Nuclear Medicine Technology
  • BLS through RQI is required.

JOB SUMMARY:

  • Responsible to: Radiology Dept. Head
  • Responsible for quality control testing of nuclear medicine equipment: uniformity, resolution, center of rotation, and energy of the gamma camera; accuracy, constancy, and linearity of the dose calibrator; energy calibration and Chi-Square testing. Ordering, receipt, survey, inventory, and proper storage of radiopharmaceuticals. Maintain radiation exposure to self, staff, and patients as low as reasonably achievable (ALARA) in accordance with NYSDOH guidelines.
